Andrej Savin

Professor (WSR) of IT Law & Internet Law at Copenhagen Business School

Andrej Savin is a Professor with special responsibilities in IT Law and Internet Law at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), where he also serves as the Director of CBS LAW. His research primarily focuses on internet regulation, IT law, law and management, and law and strategy, with a particular emphasis on how the European Union formulates IT policy and its impact on business models and company strategies.

Professor Savin has led several significant research projects, including a study funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark on “The Data Driven Home,” which examines how smart technologies are reshaping domestic environments and the challenges they pose to current data protection laws.

Additionally, he has been involved in EU-funded projects focusing on privacy in user-generated networks and various aspects of the digital economy.

In his administrative role, Professor Savin oversees research, teaching, and administration within the law unit at CBS. He is responsible for courses such as Law & Management, Digital Transformations & the Law, and EU Internet Law, and supervises PhD candidates in Methodology and Research Strategy in EU Digital Regulation.

Before joining CBS, he held academic positions at the University of Cambridge, including College Lecturer at the Law Faculty and Director of Studies in Law at Emmanuel College. He earned his Ph.D. in Law from the University of Cambridge.

Professor Savin’s scholarly contributions have been widely recognized, with numerous citations in the fields of IT law, IP law, conflict of laws, EU law, and international business law.

His work continues to influence the understanding of digital regulation and its intersection with business and society.
