Alexandru Bîrsan is the co-Managing Partner and a founding member of Filip & Company, a leading law firm in Romania. With over two decades of legal experience, he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and private equity transactions. Before establishing Filip & Company, Alexandru spent seven years with a Magic Circle firm, working across their Bucharest, London, and Paris offices. His extensive background includes advising on landmark transactions in various sectors, such as telecommunications, finance, and energy.

Recognized for his expertise, Alexandru is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers Europe and is listed as a leading individual in the Hall of Fame by Legal 500. In February 2025, he was elected co-Managing Partner of Filip & Company, alongside Cristina Filip, to lead the firm for a four-year term.
